Jason’s Story: I am an Information Security Architect

Jason Mull always knew that he wanted a career in technology. He also knew that he wanted to go to LSU, where several of his family members had gone. So, while at LSU, he pursued a degree in technology and seized the opportunity to combine that with a business education.

He was able to acquire an internship while in college with General Informatics, one of the leading IT partners of businesses, schools and government agencies, and is based in Baton Rouge, LA. Jason was offered a full-time position upon graduation and is now an Information Security Architect with the highlights of his career protecting General Informatics’s clients from data breaches.

He also gets to work in one of the coolest buildings in the city, a modern glass structure with cutting edge technology, that just happens to overlook a serene, wooded swamp area. Just another added perk.

Jason enjoys everything that Baton Rouge has to offer, such as music events in the downtown area, Saturdays spent tailgating for the beloved LSU Tigers and amazing food and crawfish boils with friends – he has a fulfilling career in the town he loves.

He hopes to help keep LSU students local upon graduation and stresses continual learning for all in technology – formally (via college) or less formal with certifications or online learning.

Jason found a job he loves at General Informatics. Interested in learning more about their job openings? Check out Louisiana Job Connection today!
